Ryder Books

Ryder Books is an imprint of Bring Your Own book and functions as a publisher and design-collective working in collaboration with artists, writers and cultural practitioners on books and events. Based in Amsterdam, Ryder is collectively run by Susu Lee, Jordi de Vetten, Augustinas Milkus and Lies Kelder.

In this book Noah returned to his archive of silver gelatine prints to question assumptions about our physical reality that are often coloured by our expectations of technical images and the mechanical procedures that realise them. The book consists of more than 30 photograms and images, representing a broad experimental, physical research into the topic, and is accompanied by a reader that features four essays written by Noah van de Wetering, Twan Lugten & Finn Kaino Maätita.

There’s also the vague memory of someone once saying that one of the last freedoms to defend is that 2+2=4.

Reproduced Images

Monograph for K.Budrys
